First day of the rest of my semester!

Welcome to my first blog post! My name is Michael Delbow, but you can call me "M." I was born in Bradenton, Florida but grew up on the west coast, in Seattle, Washington, to be exact. After being bi-coastal for so many years, I moved back to Florida in 2011 and reside in the beautiful, still-developing Apollo Beach, Florida! I graduated with my AA from Hillsborough community college in 2021 and transferred to USF in the spring of 2022.

My major is communication, with a minor in education. (GOD) willing, I will graduate in the fall, which I look forward to. Class of 2023! 


A tidbit about myself is I have traveled all 50 states and 3 of the 7 continents throughout my lifetime, one year at a time. If you are doing your math correctly, you should know I am at least over 50 years young. Since we all know the names of all 50 states, I will not bore you with listing each state. As far as the 3 continents First continent I traveled to is West Africa, then West Asia, and finally down under Australia! Another fun fact: I am a husband, father, and grandfather. One son, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter. 


Although I am in college pursuing my dream career (Teaching), I own my company which my son has taken over for the past few years; I buy residential and commercial properties, rehab/remodel and put them up for rent/lease. My company also manages other HOAs, Co-ops, and Condominiums, which I have done for nearly 30 years.  

Sad fact: Other than company social media, I DO NOT use personal social media. Social media has become so negative that I spend time with my family whenever possible, being in school full-time. Besides, I am too old to really have social media. This class may help me see the positive side of it. I am open-minded enough, which is why I chose this class. 


This is my first time ever creating and writing a blog. I am still trying to figure out what I am doing now. You would be surprised how hard it was for me to get that picture up. Hopefully, some kind soul will be willing to tell me how to "spruce" up my blog with all the cool designs and graphics.


I am not qualified yet to say what I dislike about blogs being this is my first time using or reading one. I hope this will be a fun class! I can sure use one this semester! I am on fumes and wanted something I could possibly enjoy. Let's have a great semester! Go Bulls

    Congratulations on your approaching graduation. After achieving so much already, it is impressive that you are now going to teach!

  Hands on Assignment 2.     Social media is defined as a website; also, a website application you can use to create pe rsonal or professional profiles or brands for sharing and receiving information on the internet in the form of blogs, posts , and tweets in re al time. Social networking is defined as using websites and or website applications to communicate with each other.
